Training & expertise
where knowledge informs practice
Her training encompassed disorders of the scalp and hair shaft, along with anatomy, physiology, immunology, endocrinology, nutrition, and complex biological processes involved in hair growth and loss.
Through rigorous theoretical study, clinical training, and practical assessment, Lola developed the knowledge required to examine scalp symptoms, investigate contributing factors, and formulate considered, individualised treatment recommendations.
"The scalp is living tissue worthy of the same careful attention as skin elsewhere on the body"
looking beyond what is visible
Scalp and hair disorders are influenced by a combination of internal and external factors. Lola takes a comprehensive approach to the assessment stage, considering the bigger picture.

formulation knowledge
products, considered in context
Alongside clinical practice, Lola has experience as a cosmetic formulator for her hair care brand Nourished Springs. This brings an advanced understanding of ingredients and topical products: how they interact with the scalp and hair, when they may offer support, and where their limitations lie. This enables her to evaluate product use as one part of a wider clinical picture, rather than treating products as a universal solution.

a personal note
i love what i do
The complexity of the scalp and hair continues to fascinate me, but what truly drives my work is the difference greater understanding can make for a person.
Bringing together the details, looking beyond what is immediately visible, and helping patients make sense of their concerns is something I find deeply rewarding,
Every consultation is an opportunity to ensure someone feels carefully examined, properly heard, and clearer about the way forward.
