We'll take the time to understand your concerns, your medical and family history, recent health changes, discussion of nutrition, stress, sleep, and lifestyle.
2. scalp and hair examination
A careful visual examination of your scalp band hair, supported by trichoscopy and clinical photographs with your consent, helps us come to a clearer diagnosis.
3. Findings and next steps
We discuss your diagnosis and likely contributing factors. Following this an individualised treatment and management plan is recommended, as well as referral where necessary.

preparing for your consultation
Please attend with your scalp as accessible as possible. Remove wigs, extensions or hairstyles that prevent the scalp and haor from being examined thoroughly. Where possible, avoid gels, hair fibres or scalp concealers before your appointment.
Please bring a list of any prescription medication, over-the-counter treatments, and nutritional supplements you currently take. Include the dosage and roughly how long you have been taking them, where possible.
If you have had blood tests recently, please bring a copy of the results or have a digital version available.
Bring a list or photographs of the hair and scalp products you regularly use.
Write down any questions or concerns you would like to discuss. This helps ensure that your priorities are addressed and that you leave the consultation with a clear understanding of the recommended next steps.
